A Technical Overview for MedAX
MedAX is a vertical addon developed within Microsoft Dynamics AX version 2009. MedAX is using two different environments to simplify all medical operations and back office workflow. All data storage and business logic is planed and implemented in Dynamics AX. All ERP functionalities are running as in AX. For medical operational environment, MedAX has WPF application build on .Net Framwork 3.5, named TCF Client.
MedAX is not a third party hospital information management system integrated with AX, but is fully developed within AX. AX Advanced Management package is used. All the financial and trade operation is based on standard AX financial and trade modules. For medical operations all the medical objects and the business logic is created in AX AOT with data dictionary objects and classes, so the whole solution is developed on X++. Both the medical and financial data and logic is available through Dynamics AX Rich Client.
